Size Guide
Did you know?
What very few women know: the letter in a bra size doesn’t actually indicate the absolute size of the cup! We’ll explain why a 70E, 75D, 80C, and 85B all have the same cup volume—the only thing that changes is the band size.
At first glance, it would seem logical that cup sizes increase alphabetically—A being small, and getting larger with each step. But that’s not exactly how it works. If you compare a 75B to a 100B, you’ll notice the cups are not the same size. Why is that?
The reason is that cup size and band size are proportionally related. This means the cup letter only refers to a specific cup volume when combined with a certain band size. This concept is known as "sister sizing" or "cross sizing."
With sister sizes, the cup volume remains the same, but the band size changes. For example, the cup of a 75B bra is the same size as that of a 70C or an 80A—only the band width is different. So, if you go down a band size, you need to go up a cup size to keep the same cup volume.
Quick Rule of Thumb:
-
One band size smaller → go one cup size up
-
One band size larger → go one cup size down
